BTEC PERFORMING ARTS (ACTING)

Wiltshire College Salisbury and Salisbury Playhouse have combined their strengths to offer a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Performing Arts (Acting). The course is a high quality training programme for all those who want an acting career.


Students are taught by a team of acting, directing and technical professionals giving students the best possible advantage when applying to higher level training, either at Drama School or University. Learning alongside Salisbury Playhouse's production seasons, students experience real life skills in performance, rehearsal and technical theatre, all of which is underpinned by theory and context.

Students on the current intake have performed 60s Stories in the Salberg with Mind The Gap, our over 50s performance group, The Ash Girl by Timberlake Wertenbaker at Wiltshire College, devised a performance for Holocaust Memorial Day and taken part in NT Connections performing The Wardrobe by Sam Holcroft. The group is currently developing a piece of Theatre for Young people.
