Board of Trustees - John Perry
When John graduated from Cambridge he entered the commercial Timber Trade. He worked for over 36 years in corporate life as a main board director and general manager with both quoted and private companies in the UK and internationally. For five years until 2014 John was CEO of Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, one of the UK’s fastest growing regional charities which receives no government funding and depends on donations from the general public to keep operating and continuing to save lives.
John has wide experience as a trustee with Not for Profit organisations including a research organisation, a charitable care home, an international children’s medical charity and a school governor.
John and his wife Marilyn are regular supporters of the Playhouse. When not relaxing with his family his interests are History of Art, visiting exhibitions and galleries, walking and sport. John played international hockey but active participation is now restricted to golf and tennis. He is a keen supporter of rugby and cricket.
